Concours Mondial de Bruxelles

Concours Mondial de Bruxelles Silver Medal Diploma to Conde de Villaseñor Crianza

What is the Concours Mondial de Bruxelles?

The Brussels World Competition (Concours Mondial de Bruxelles) is an international competition of alcoholic beverages, wines and spirits created in Belgium in 1994.

The jury or contest tasting panel is comprised of renowned experts in the wine industry, from around 40 different countries. The samples presented, wine and spirits, compete for one of the medals awarded at the end. The contest awards prizes for the best results in each category, three types of medals: Grand Medal, Gold Medal and Silver Medal.

History

The Brussels World Contest was created by Louis Havaux and the first edition took place in the city of Bruges (Belgium). Initially, only wine samples competed in the competition, but in 1999, the Brussels Spirits Awards was incorporated, in which spirits, brandies and other fruit wines compete.

Since 2006, the editions are held in cities outside Belgium.

Sommeliers, buyers, importers, journalists and wine writers - totalling 320 wine and spirit tasters from 40 different nationalities who worked for 3 days judging the submitted samples.
