Conde de Villaseñor, winner of CSWC 2012

Diploma delivered to Conde de Villaseñor in the event China Sommelier Wine Challenge.

The China Sommeliers Wine Challenge (CSWC 2012) is a unique event that focuses on Chinese sommelier blind tastings. The competition brings together the best local and international sommeliers working in China and a panel of famous Master Sommeliers, as well as world and regional champions. The CSWC 2012 event takes place on the same dates as the FHC 2012 "China Global Food and Wine Expo", offering wine suppliers a unique opportunity to win prizes in China and promote their wines in the largest food and wine fair in the country.

The China Sommeliers Wine Challenge received in 2011 was an overwhelming success with judges and participants and won industry-wide wine and spirit recommendations. The CSWC 2011 attracted 286 registrations and winning wines were promoted in the FHC exhibition. A record 29,008 buyers attended the 15th edition of FHC and Wine & Spirits China (WSC), "China's global wine and food expo", held in Shanghai from 16 to 18 November 2011. There were 23% more visitors than the previous year, including retailers, caterers, importers and distributors. The record number of visitors was accompanied by a record of 1,110 participating companies from 77 countries and regions, including 27 official national pavilions. It was the largest number of visitors, exhibitors and national pavilions to attend FHC and WSC in its 15 years of history.

This year, there were exceptional wines, amongst which Conde de Villaseñor Crianza 2005 stood out with excellent results. Together with another other 73 wines, Conde de Villaseñor managed to highlight its incredible taste and won a bronze medal.

Conde de Villaseñor Crianza features a bright cherry-red colour. Vintage aromas of great finesse (vanilla, coconut, toasted grains) combined with fruit and liquorize hints (ripe red berries). Broad and elegant palate. The aftertaste comes clean, lingering; it leaves a pleasant memory.

In recognition of the importance and growing demand for wine in China, the organizers have confirmed that next year the 2102 WSC will have a room dedicated to wines. Called "Global Wines in Wine & Spirits China", this showcase specialising in wine and beverage companies, will make it easier for buyers and wine distributors to easily find relevant products and suppliers.
