About Us.
The Villaseñor estate was created when the current Conde de Villaseñor team decided to start marketing its wines, originating from a vineyard in Rioja Alavesa.
Of the four grapes varietals accepted by the Governing Council, tempranillo grape outstands for its features. Conde de Villaseñor is comprised of 100% tempranillo, since it clearly expresses the character of Spanish red wines.
Due to their high quality, wines from La Rioja are best selling wines in Spain and the best ambassadors of our wine culture throughout the world.

Gran Reserva
Conde de Villaseñor Gran Reserva
VINTAGE CLASSIFICATION: 2001 is considered as EXCELLENT under the Rioja Qualified Denomination of Origin.
TASTING NOTES: medium russet ruby-red colour. Aromatic explosion of vintage aromas (vanilla, toasted grains, spices...), very ripe fruit hints (raisins, caramel...) and very subtle bouquet (leather, fallen leaves, tobacco...). As the wine unfolds, aromas become more intense. Perfectly structured mouthfeel, creamy and smooth, velvety and lingering. Very pleasant aftertaste. A Rioja classic.
VITICULTURE: a selection of grapes from vineyards in Rioja Alavesa and Rioja Alta. These are very poor quality calcareous soils with a clay loam texture. Vines averaging 50 years’ old, grown mainly using a traditional goblet guiding system.
Reserva
Conde de Villaseñor Reserva
VINTAGE CLASSIFICATION: 2005 is considered as EXCELLENT under the Rioja Qualified Denomination of Origin.
TASTING NOTES: classical ruby-red colour with a russet rim. Very complex and intense nose, with perfectly blended fine vintage scents (vanilla, spices and aromatic herbs) and very ripe fruit hints. Very balanced palate, very fine and with a polished and elegant body. Very long and pleasant finish.

Crianza
Conde de Villaseñor Crianza
VINTAGE CLASSIFICATION: 2007 is considered as VERY GOOD under the Rioja Qualified Denomination of Origin.
TASTING NOTES: medium bright cherry-red colour. Vintage aromas of great finesse (vanilla, coconut, toasted grains) combined with fruit and liquorice hints (ripe red berries). Broad and elegant palate. The aftertaste comes clean, lingering; it leaves a pleasant memory.
